About Direction
Founded in June 2017, Direction is a mission-driven agency dedicated to delivering high-quality, personalized services within a small business framework. Since its establishment, Direction has prioritized integrity, individualized care, and meaningful engagement with both clients and the broader community.
In March 2018, the agency hired its first two employees—one of whom now serves as the Chief Operating and Innovation Officer. From the outset, Direction has maintained a deliberate approach to growth, ensuring that the agency remains appropriately scaled to foster strong, personal connections with every client. This approach allows the team to remain familiar with each case and preserve the high standard of service that defines Direction.
Direction fosters a workplace environment grounded in respect, appreciation, and collaboration. Team members are valued for their contributions and are recognized through gestures such as personalized birthday and holiday cards, as well as various staff appreciation initiatives.
To promote team cohesion and morale, the agency regularly organizes sponsored events and outings, including sporting events, theatrical performances, escape rooms, spa experiences, and outdoor activities. Notable events have included private rentals of entertainment venues, limousine transportation to holiday performances in New York City, and annual gatherings for staff and their families.
Employees have also received tangible benefits such as AAA memberships, car maintenance services, and other forms of practical support, reflecting the agency’s commitment to the well-being of its staff.
At the core of Direction’s operations is a commitment to client-centered care. By maintaining limited growth, the agency ensures that every client receives personalized attention and consistent, high-quality service. Direction distinguishes itself through this individualized approach, fostering trust and familiarity that enhance outcomes and satisfaction.
As a Limited Liability Company, Direction actively engages in philanthropic efforts throughout the year. The agency not only provides financial support to local organizations but also encourages hands-on involvement by staff and clients alike.
Annual initiatives include participation in holiday fundraising efforts, such as ringing bells for the Salvation Army, and organizing food donation drives for Catholic Social Services. These events are designed to instill a sense of community and shared responsibility across all participants.
Direction also hosts a low-sensory "Silent Santa" event, free for the community, offering an inclusive and calm environment for families to enjoy holiday traditions. Each family receives a complimentary photo from the event. To learn more, scroll down and select the link titled “Silent Santa.”
The agency offers a range of services funded through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) and Medicaid Waiver programs. These funding sources are designed to assist individuals with disabilities in accessing necessary vocational, medical, and long-term care services.
